My Final Some Odd Girl Challenge

It is kinda sad I know, but all great things must come to an end. I have enjoyed every moment with all of the amazingly talented girls on the Some Odd Girl DT. I love these stamps/images and will still continue to use them even after this. I will miss everyone on the DT. But let's get back to the Challenge Blog.

For our last challenge together, we have a great challenge picked out for you! And that challenge happens to be...

We want to see your best thank you cards!

Here is my card for this challenge:

(This card has been added to Etsy)

Isn't this card just amazing! I love the vintage/distressed look to it and the flower, I think, makes it perfect. The stamp is my new favorite from the Some Odd Girl July Release and is colored with Copics. The paper is from Basic Grey. The flower is a Prima and the blingy swirls is from my stash. The sentiment is from Stamps Of Life.

I did this card for a challenge on:

Slugs, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails!

It's Saturday! And that means that it is time for another.....SWEET STAMPIN' CHALLENGE! And we have a wonderful one ready for you! This challenge was chosen by the wonderful and fantastic Vicky! The challenge this week is:

One For The Boys!

What a fun challenge! I knew exactly what stamp I was going to use! I love the saying "Slugs, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails". I will give you a hint you what part of it gave me the idea for my card...."Puppy Dog Tails". So with that in mind, here is my boy card:

I am in love with how this card turned out! The layout, the papers, and the image make it perfect! Now you can see why I the saying and this image work so well together. The stamp is an awesome one from a Some Odd Girl release and colored with Copics. The papers are from a Cosmo Cricket collection. I added just a few touches of Kaisercraft bling and added a birthday sentiment that is from My Favorite Things. And with all those ingredients in my head, my mojo went into overdrive and created this!

Make sure you check out the rest of the DT's manly cards:

Have a great weekend everyone!

Inspired by a Odd Girl!

Hey! This week we have a wonderful challenge for you from Some Odd Girl! I would just go ahead and tell you but that would take all the fun out of it. So I am going to let you guess. Here are a few hints: Odd Girls, Inspired, DT Members, FANTASTIC!

Got it yet?
Well, I think you got it, but if you don't, I will go ahead and let you know....

The challenge is....

Doesn't that sound fun! I had so much fun with this challenge! So many different styles to choose from, and you get to choose which style you want to use for your card and just let the inspiration take over!

My inspiration came from no other than.....

The reason why I chose her gorgeous cards is because I just love the colors and the way she colors on her cards! Most of the images/stamps on her card are colored with Distress Inks to make it look like it is a black and white photo. Also, I saw that she sometimes using recycled things on her cards. I instantly knew that I just HAD to use her as my inspiration. And here is one of her fabulous cards that inspired me:

Isn't this card just amazing! Her cards just make you drool! My breath was taken by this and I knew I just had to do something a little like this. I added some of my own twist to make it original and this is what I came up with:

Of course, my card could never be as beautiful as Kellie's cards. But this is my version of one of her cards.

The image is a gorgeous Some Odd Girl and is colored with Copics, and I cut it out and put it with Basic Grey paper and a glimmer misted paper bag I cut out into a really bad circle and added a circle of bling! Finally, I added some Buttons Galore buttons with some SU! String, and a glimmer misted flower.

Make sure to check out the rest of the DT's cards to see who inspired them:

New Sweet Stampin Challenge

Hello from Alaska! It is hardly summer here, but I still have seen the sun in the last few days! And a few days ago I went on a hike (so glad to get out and enjoy nature!) And here is some pics from the hike:

It wasn't the sunniest day, but I still had a blast! It was a little muddy (I was soaked by the time I got home...LOL) and I was so tired afterwards. The walk was beautiful and was good exercise for me!!!

Okay, okay, enough about nature... Time to get back to cards....LOL. Anyways.... over at Sweet Stampin', er have another great and amazing challenge for you this week. And is happens to be....

Being a little unusual myself (who isn't???) I had so much fun thinking outside the box for this challenge. And with my mojo going crazy with all the fun, this is what I came up with!

Okay, so this card looks like any normal usual card, but the unusual thing about it is that the flower is actually made out of....  PARTY FAVOR BAGS! I thought it would make the perfect little flower. And the other unusual thing about my card is that the "paper" that my sentiment is stamped on is actually...... A PAPER PLATE! I cut it out with my Cuttlebug and Glimmer Misted it to make it SPARKLY! I loved to brightness of the colors I couldn't stop and the image, so I incorporated the same bright and cheerful colors into my paper using these amazing Prima papers.

I also did this card for a challenge on:
Supplies:
Stamps: Mo's Digital Pencil, Verve
Paper: Prima, SU!
Other: Copcis, Nestabilites, Cuttlebug, Glimmer Mists,
Party bag and plate, Basics Rhinestones, Memento Inks

Make sure you go see all the other girls card for this challenge.
